ACO Quality Now was developed by a Medicare Shared Savings Program ACO Executive with first-hand knowledge of the challenges involved in collecting quality data for CMS from multiple sources and platforms. As one of the original 27 Medicare Shared Savings Program ACOs, there was an early awareness of the need for process and quality improvement.

ACO Quality Now is a product of Pinnacle Health, Inc., a Massachusetts company, incorporated in 1997. Technology innovation is not new for Pinnacle Health, as the innovator of the first-ever healthcare smart card program, Pinnacle Perks, which promotes and rewards patient engagement in the quality process. In addition, Pinnacle's Preferred Provider Program has been building high quality, cost effective relationships with prominent healthcare service providers across the country since 2006.
